Re: Flora

I love the name, and I grow to love it more and more every time I see it. Being a nurse, though, I worry about the association with bacteria (intestinal and vaginal flora, for example). :( It's one of the first things that came to mind, when I first heard the name. But now it's just a name I love, and I don't think about bacteria much at all :b, but wonder if it cause possibly cause teasing when she's older.
Edited to add: I also love the similar name, Fleur. I started loving it after I saw it in a movie (The Forsyte Saga, which is also a book) but now I love most flower and flower-related names. :b I worry that it sounds too much like the word "floor". Has anyone here seen Spanglish? A character's name in it was Flor (Spanish), and the American family had a hard time pronouncing it without it sounding like "floor". :b I think Fleur sounds prettier, though.
