It's a nice name but it it's too "Dora the Explorer" (unless she is born when the show is no longer broadcasted or when the show is no longer popular).

I love it makes me think of a beautiful classy dark haired women. Excellent alternative to Dorothy

Too Dora the Explorer, and I loathe it anyway.

First thought that came to my head was "Explorer" It also makes me think of Isadora which is nice if you like it (I dont).

I cannot tell a lie, I also started humming that Dora the Explorer song in my head. But, I do really like the name, and particularly Dori as a nickname. I say use it.

Dora is lovely, and definitely a rare classic! I'd love to see it being used!

I see it as more of a rare classic, and a great way to honor your mom too. And who knows how long Dora the Explorer will be around. I wouldn't let that deter you from using it. :)

I don't care for it, and I don't really know why. I don't find it pretty, and it's a little harsh sounding to me. I don't think of the TV Dora the Explorer, but if people did, who cares? Since it would honor your mother, in a way, I'd suggest using it as the middle name.
