Peony
I've never heard of anyone with this name, I just spotted it on a character in a book. What do you think of it?

It's cute. Maybe it's time for it after all the other flower names?

I think Peony is interesting, but not extremely pretty. I think there's a Peony in Bilbo's family tree (Lord of the rings).edited to add: found! http://www.glyphweb.com/arda/default.htm?http://www.glyphweb.com/arda/p/peonybaggins.html

I don't care for it. It isn't masculine to me, and I think of a pony and the words pee on.

For a character it's okay, I guess...although I'd expect it more on an animal character (say, from the Redwall series) than a human. I like a lot of flower names, but I can't see Peony in real life because of the fact that it has "pee on" in it. ~ Caitlín
