I don't like it, but it's not horrible. It does seem masculine to me, though (but I don't care for it for a boy, either), and reminds me of Barbie. Almost like a name for a little boy Barbie doll, lol.

I do know a woman named Darby, though (probably in her early 40s now). She was my dental hygienist for years, bleach blond hair but very smart and very sweet. I always thought the name didn't suit her, though, and she always acted like she disliked her name.

I find it very masculine. However, from the mn you listed I like Darby Suzanne the best as a combo.

Darby reminds me of the racing, but it's better on a girl than a boy imo, and I like it for someone else :-)

I think the name Darby is cute. I like the name Darcy or Darcey
too. Darby is a name that started out as a male name but is more popular as a girl's name. Its from a Irish Gaelic word diarmaid that means freeman but of course could mean freewoman too. In Norse I believe it could come from Dyrbyr meaning from the deer estate.
In any event I like Darby Lucille or Darby Suzanne the best.

Darby is too surname-y to me (perhaps because I know a Darby family), but it's purely masculine to me. I'd find it trendy for a girl.

I dislike it...

On one of the cartoons I used to watch, the doll one of the girls had was named Darby. Thus, I always associate it with a Barbie or someone Barbie-like. Sorry :P
