Linden and Lindy

Linden is sweet, especially when you consider the meaning. Lindy is pretty, but I could never use it because it would remind me too much of Lindy Chamberlain and her tragic story. I like Linda though (and can't use it because my stepsister is Belinda . . . *sigh*).

I love Linden for a girl. I don't find it that surname-y - I associate it more with the tree - but I do see how it could be confused with Lyndon etc. I think Lindie is a great nn for it :-)

I don't care for it. Linden is feminine, but I think of the male name Lindon. I don't find it pretty, and Lindy sounds odd to me. I prefer Linda and Lindsay.

I really like Lindy as a nickname for Linda. I like Linden only for a boy, and then only for someone else's boy. But I think it's a really nice name.

I like Linden only on a boy
Both are nice names, but I prefer Linden on a boy.
