I like Aubrey better on a boy. I always did, but I'm now so sick of hearing "Aubrey-on-a-girl" whined about, that the rebel in me wants to like it as a girls' name too and I do see the attraction of Aubrey being female ;-) I'm no good at envisioning names, sorry._____________________________________________________________________"[David Gest] looks like he's had a lot of plastic surgery done, but not by a plastic surgeon."Elinor

I think it's cute as a girl's name.

I like it for a girl. It sounds similar to Audrey, a female name, and the b sound makes the name sound soft and more feminine to me. I picture a girl with brown curls and big hazel eyes. She has chubby cheeks and is shy at first but enthusiastic, affectionate and fun to be around after she warms up.

My frame of reference for Aubrey is the art nouveau artist Aubrey Beardsley and a deceased English actor (I can't think of his ln.)I only think of boys when I hear this name. Educated, sophisticated, gentlemanly. That's the picture that I have.

LOVE IT on boys & girls (sorry Kelly R.)
Inside of me there is a skinny girl, screaming to get out but I can usually shut her up with cookies!

I prefer Audrey. Aubrey isn't a feminine name to me. "Dance like no one's watching."
This is a favorite quote of mine

Well I love the name Aubrey but strictly on a boy! I usually picture a tall southern gentleman type. Although I know two male Aubreys who are from the north east. ~~~~Kai~~~~

Aubrey isn't bad. But I much prefer Audrey. I always think of Audrey Hepburn...which to me was just classic beauty. Aubrey ~ I picture a dark hair, large doe eyes, kind of pixie like. Best of Luck...Kalin
