I like the Ray-chel (English) pronounciation. I think that actually Rachel Claire is a very nice name, because I like them both a lot. :)

I like Rachel Claire if you want to combine the names. I usually like Claire as a middle name. Some first names that go with Claire:
Jessicah Claire
Mary Claire
Hannah Claire
Jennifer Claire
Jordyn Claire
Mindy Claire "Dance like no one's watching."

Neither, but if I had to choose I would go with Claire. I don't like the sound of Rachel at all, even though it's the name of one of my best friends.

Prefer Rachel and like the English prononciation.

I'm not fond of Claire, but I love Rachel ... I think it's so pretty, feminine, & classic. I personally like the English pronounciation "Ray chel" the best. I also like "Rah kel" but sp. Raquel. They're both pretty imo.

I love the name Claire, but I really dislike Rachel, especially the English prn. If I had to pick my favorite prn. though, I'd go with the French, which I also don't care much for. Again though, I love Claire, it sounds classy and beautiful to me.

I prefer Claire. Rachel is nice too though. I like the English pronunciation the best. For rah-shel, I would use the spelling Rachelle. It's very pretty.

Both names are great, but if I had to pick one it would be Claire since it's not quite as popular as Rachel right now.I like the English pronounciation of Rachel the best, provided that she would live in an English-speaking environment.

I like both names for different reasons.Claire is beautiful and classic, as well as Clara.Rachel is the name of my childhood bestfriend, pronounced RAY-chel.I also like Rachelle, which is my cousin's middle name, pronounced ra-SHEL

I really like Claire, it's a very pretty name.Rachel is my sister's name, so I've been neutral on it my whole life. I guess I prefer the English pronunciation of it since that's what I'm accustomed to, but I also really like the Hebrew pronunciation.

I prefer Claire, it is more feminine to me and less commonI prefer the French pronounciation because that is what I'm used to, the English pronounciation reminds me of roaches and the Hebrew pronunciation reminds me of Del Boy (Only Fools and Horses)

I definitely prefer Rachel. My problem with Claire is that where I live, Clare (the English form) is pronounced KLAYR, with an "ay" sound like in Tate or Lane. In most places (England and the States, at least) it'd be KLER. People here just pronoune Claire KLAYR as well, but I'm pernickity and know that they should be different. It's always got to me. So, to cut a long story short, I only like the Clare form :-/_____________________________________________________________________"[David Gest] looks like he's had a lot of plastic surgery done, but not by a plastic surgeon."Elinor

As an American, I think of the rah-shel prn being spelt Rachelle rather than Rachel, and the Rachel spelling being prn either rah-khel or ray-chel. Well, I prefer the Hebrew prn to the French, the French to the English and I prefer Claire to the English prn of Rachel. Make sense? So I guess it's:1. Rachel (Hebrew)
2. Rachelle (French)
3. Claire
4. Rachel (English)
