I love Doris.
My mother hates it, but I think it's got a nice sound. I also think it'll be relatively easily revived, especially with a cutesy nickname like Dory.I like Doris on its own, though. I think it works charmingly, nickname or no. I've even got a doll named Doris--she got named after Ms. Day and loves romantic comedies.I don't like Ruby Doris, but that's mainly because Ruby Rebecca is the only valid Ruby combo in my opinion. :) I think that Eleanor Doris (or for me, Elenore Doris or Elenor Doris) would be nice. As a first name...Doris Ursula? I'm too tired to come up with anything good. I really like Doris, though. And Phyllis and Roberta and all sorts of other fusty names.Array
