Parker on a girl
There is an English actress who had a little girl several months ago and called her Parker! I was pretty horrified that anyone could even dream of giving such a masculine name to a girl. What do you think?

Yuck, imo.

I think it's horribly ugly on a girl.

To me, it just sounds like addressing someone by their surname, which is usually sarcastic where I live. It isn't established enough on boys *not* to go to the girls if they want it, but I don't see the attraction at all. Like Raindancing said, I also think of a "nosy parker".That said, I'd rather see it on a girl than a boy._____________________________________________________________________"[David Gest] looks like he's had a lot of plastic surgery done, but not by a plastic surgeon."Elinor

The sight does consider it a girls name and it was in the 600's in 2003. Sad, yes, do I like it, no, but it's not wrong at least. It upsets me because I did really like it for a boy for a while, maybe I outta rethink that.

well, I've got a thing for different names, so I love the name Parker for a boy and a girl.

I dont like it for a boy or a girl not only is it far too surnamey and unfeminine for my tastes but also, where I live someone who cant keep their nose out of other peoples business is known as a Nosey Parker

Eeewwww! I even detest this on a boy! Needless to say I think it is hideous for a girl! Not in the least pretty, elegant or feminine! Yuck!

I like it better for a girl than for a boy. I think its sort of cool but maybe getting trendy.

I've heard of Parker on a girl & I don't like it at all. I love Parker but only for a boy. I think it's such a masculine name that only sounds good on a boy, but that's just my opinion...

I *cannot* wait for this fad to end! Parker is a boy's name, for goodness sake! It's an OK name on a boy, but horrible on a girl.
