I think Thea is too nickname-y as a formal name. While I don't care for the name, I'd prefer Theodora with Thea as a nickname. I do not like stereotyping names, as the person makes the name, not the other way around. If people have perception of a person named Thea, then who cares? It doesn't mean she'd fit the perception.
