Jolie
I really like the name Jolie and I want to name my daughter Jolie but I need a middle name for her. I like Jolie Ruth but its not my favorite and the only reason that I really like Ruth is because its my grandmothers middle name and I wanted to name Jolie after her. What do ya'll think?

Jolie pronounced the french way? That's nice. But many people won't be sure how to pronounce it. It may come out sounding like Jolly.
Also, it makes me think of Angelina Jolie, who I can't stand, that brazen hussy!

I know a girl named Jolie and her mn is Nicole. I think it sounds nice. Some other good mns are Lorraine, Katerina, Guinevere, Gwendoline, Alexandra, Lillian, Tamara and Elizabeth.

I like Jolie, but not Ruth, but since it's your Grandmother's middle name, I'm OK with it, and Jolie Ruth does flow.

Jolie Ruth sounds kind of incomplete to me. I like the sound of Jolie Ruthann much better. What's your grandmother's first name? Is there a reason you can't/won't use it?To be born Welsh is not to be born with a silver spoon in your mouth, but with a song in your heart.

My Grandmother's first name is Helen and I really don't care for that. Well, at least not with Jolie. But Jolie Ruthann is cute and I might just have to consider it! Thanks!

Ah, I understand. My mother-in-law's name is Helen Ruth-Mary, so I guess Helen Ruths were pretty popular at the time. I don't care for Helen, either, though I did consider it as mn for my DD. Anyway, Ruth-Mary is another possibility, I guesss! To be born Welsh is not to be born with a silver spoon in your mouth, but with a song in your heart.
