My roommate's name is Charlotte and her nickname is Ash. Its a long story that has nothing to do with her name (or middle name even.) I used the nickname Char for her for alittle while until I realized she hated it. (My best friend's youngest sister is Charlotte and goes by Char.) My roommate's dad calls her Charlie. She would never used the nickname Lottie because its the name of our school cafeteria!
