Constantine
So, what do you think? Yes, it's Keanu Reeves movie, and an American Idol contestant, and the first Christian emperor of Rome, but other than that, what do you think? Too long? Too feminine? What kind of nns do you invision, other than Connie and Stan? Tanner, maybe? Antin, like Anton only shorter? Kyp? Heh, long story there. Maybe even Nine or Niner?
My best friend swears that he's going to name his firstborn son this. Then again, he swears that he's going to name his second son Obi-wan and his third Morpheus. The funny thing is, the name he wants for a girl is Kaitlyn Rose.

I really like the name. I personally prefer the Greek form of Konstantinos.

It's very handsome and charming, but now I also think it's very sexy because of Mr. Maroulis :)When you have a cool name like Constantine, I couldn't imagine shortening it. As for Tanner and Antin, they are stretch and not that flattering. Among Greek people Constantine (Konstantinos) the nicknames Kostas and Gus are used.

didn't see the movie. Loved the AI contestant(who I hated to see go and made me want to beat up the TV) Always favoured the Roman emperor....still...
Not too long...
Far far far from feminine.
Nicknames I like are Kip (I don't get it, but I love it) and Antin. I'd even try for Constance. :) Poor Obi-wan and Morpheus. Although Morpheus is a rather cool association.-Seda*

I don't care for Constantine. I did think of the Keanu Reeves movie, but I doubt that association will last a long time, and associations don't bother me. I don't even watch American Idol, so I haven't a clue what you're talking about there. I don't like the name because I think it has a weak tone, and the word constant is too overpowering for my liking. I don't think nicknames should be planned, but should be left up to the child.

I like it, though I'm more used to the spelling Konstantin. I would use Tintin as nn.I don't get this fear of feminity, Constantine/Konstantin is a male name. Yes, the name is long. The only drawback is that long names tend to get shortened.
