Hmm . . . it'd be kind of cute as a nickname, but maybe too cute.It reminds me of the 1920s, when names like Dimple were trendy.

Brightley? Well, if I had to use it, I'd spell it like the word "brightly." The editor in me is screaming that the E is hideous. :)I think that it'd make an interesting middle name choice, provided the first name was at least vaguely traditional and unrelated to nature. While Eliza Brightly or Frederick Brightly would work well, April Brightly and River Brightly might have some more of an issue.And, of course, neither the first nor the last name could be a verb. No Brightly Skipping or Chase Brightlys--that'd just be cruel.I think it would work, and probably better on a girl than a boy (but either would be fine), but it wouldn't be my first choice.Array
