Hmm, let's see. Assuming this is in the States, both names are very popular. So he'd share his name with many peers, whichever you chose. But David has been consisitently popular whereas Noah only became so in the 90s. Therefore, David's name would be popular in every generation, not just his own, and wouldn't date whereas Noah will date.

So there are pros and cons, it's quite hard to decide ... Based on sound alone, I think I prefer Noah :-)
