The Greek word itself might have some obscure meaning that might matter on paper to some people, but Persephone the daughter of Demeter is the thing I am reminded of when I see / hear the name - and her story, which gives her character the meaning of seasonal change, mainly winter to spring... because she brings Spring with her when she comes aboveground.
Besides, it makes sense to me that if the name means "to destroy murder" then what it really is supposed to mean is "rebirth." I guess you'd have to ask someone who knows ancient Greek to know if that is likely or not, though.
I like the name and if it were my own, I'd go by Persie.
