Being from Alaska myself...well, I wouldn't use it. I'd definitely consider using a place name that had significance to me, but Alaska is the kind of name somebody would use who'd never been there (how's that for stereotyping? *wink*).If you've lived in/visited Alaska and really loved it, then I think it would be a fine mn, but it's corny as a fn.For a more in-depth look at Alaskan names, see my post here:
