Sabrina
What do you think of this name? I don't see it mentioned that often and it's on my mind right now.Like it? Dislike it? And do you think Sabrina the Teenage Witch is still a strong association with the name? Thanks,Jamie

I prefer Sabina. It's much softer.

Love it!I've only seen one girl in real life with that name, and when I heard the mother calling her, I thought, "That is SUCH a gorgeous name!" I'd use it. :)*emmett*You're braver than you believe, stronger than you seem, and smarter than you think. ~ Winnie the Pooh

I love the name and think of the film (with Audrey Hepburn) rather than the t.v. programme It sounds too much like a cat name for me though alice x

I don't care for it, as I don't care for the sound, as I think it's frilly sounding, and sardines pop into my mind, for some reason. I think of the play Sabrina Fair, and then the movie Sabrina. I never got into the TV show Sabrina the Teenage Witch (which is why that never pops into my mind when I see/hear the name Sabrina), but even if people think of that, who cares?

I really like the name Sabrina and you don't exactly see or hear it on people at all. I guess Sabrina the teenage witch will pop into ppl's minds, but I don't think that it would happen all that often. I tend to think of the teenage witch and of course Audrey Hepburn and the movie Sabrina, which is obviously a better image! :)

I love Sabrina, it's one of my favorites. I don't think at all of the TV show, only of one of my favorite Hepburn movies. I think it sounds a bit classy and frilly but it's not over the top.Leslie edd 4/17/05. Baby should be arriving via c-section April 8th, though.

I'm not really keen on it, though not because of the show, more because I just don't like the "br" sound within it. I much prefer the "r"-less Sabina.

I mentioned it recently actually. I like it, although it does have strong associations with Sabrina the Teenage Witch as well as the Audrey Hepburn movie.

The movie is...A good association for me. Since I love both the Audrey Hepburn one and the more recent adaption with Julia Ormond and Harrison Ford. Not that I have anything against Sabrina the Teenage Witch, I think I've only seen about a total of two episodes ever. But I figure it's a much stronger associatoin than the movie.

I haven't gotten to see the new version yet : ( I love Julia Ormond. The TV show isn't a bad association either, I used to love the show. I just said that both would have strong association to the name : )

I LOVE the name Sabrina- I don't think of the Teenage Witch, although some might. Sabrina is on my faves list along with other names from TV shows (Phoebe, Felicity) that I love and would use despite the show. I mean, we probably know other people with these names as well, they weren't invented for tv! :)Unfortunately, Sabrina doesn't go with our ln, Brown- too much "br". One of my favorite combos since I was a girl has been Ashley Sabrina. I had a doll named this.

I really like it. My favorite combo, in case you want to know, is Sabrina Alyssa.

I love the name. I don't hear it too much either. I think its cute and fun. I don't think its as strong as it was I watched Sabrina the Teenage Witch constantly and I don't like it is as much as it was.

Sorry, but I do think of the teen-age witch. I do, however, love a related name: Severine.I know a woman named Sabra (SAY-bruh). She says it's derived from the Sabine people. Just thought I'd pass it along.
