James was my best friend when I was younger and we're still close.
Yes, the same James Seda is fawning over down there. It makes me smile, so all the best thoughts with that one.Kelly

LOVE this name, but ONLY for boys! Not a girl name.:)

I don't like James for a girl, but I like it for a boy. One of my top combos is Connor James. :)

I hate it as a girls name. It's such a strong, normal male name. I think it's a little boring as a first name, but I'd use it as a middle name to honour my father.Mel

Only EVER on a boy
Processed “cheese”. The word should always, like Soviet “democracy”, be framed in quotes, for no matter what the law may say, I refuse to call this cheese

James is very much a male family name for me and it has always been my favorite boys name I guess because of all the people I love :)
My Grandfathers
James William and James Alfred
My Dad
James Neal/ Neil - Neil is on my Dads birth certificate but as a child he was told it was spelt Neal so until he actually looked at his Birth Certificate he was aspelling it wrong lol
My son
James Jeffrey
My Brother
Kevin James
Two of my nephews
Lewis James and Daniel James
I also have two cousins called James but I dont know their middle names and I think a couple of other cousins or their children have James as a middle name
I really dont like this name for a girl I prefer Jamesina or at a pinch Jamie

I love it but for a boy ONLY.
People say it is overused, but I think there's a difference between overused and classic. And actually I can't think of a single James who is younger than 35 or so in my town. So it's definitely not been very popular around here in the last few years. If there are any, they are called Jimmy or something.

I've heard of it used on girls. I prefer it on boys, and I think a female James would almost always go by Jamie anyway. It's a great name. Just overused in my lifetime.- chazda"I don't want to look like a loser for the rest of my life!" ~ Georgia Ford, on needing a signature

FOR A GIRL?! NO WAY!Its a classic boys name, and a great biblical name. I love it for a boy, but NEVER for a girl

I like James *only for a boy*. It's a very strong, traditional, and timeless name. It'll suit any age perfectly. It isn't at all feminine or pretty enough for a girl. I don't care for the feminine versions, but I would prefer Jamie or Jamesina for a girl.Edit: Spelling.

Lovely but overused; I'd only use it as one of two middle names.I only like it on a boy. Though I'm OK with gender blurring in names in theory, James is just too established and generically male, to work on a girl child anytime soon. It could only be carried of as a mn imo._____________________________________________________________________"You are never given a wish without also being given the power to make it true."Elinor

fuzzy hmm.....James
Considering that's my husband's name, I've grown to love it.
It's also my sister's middle name, but I don't care for it on a girl personally. If you care, their names are James Evander and Eavan Sophie James.I like the name, not the meaning.
Random things now in my mind.
I'm listening to James Taylor's "Sweet Baby James" right now; it's one of my favourite songs.
I'm wearing a necklace that says "James".Well, okay..I can't deny this name has an affect on my life.I guess I love it. I makes me feel warm and fuzzy. ♥-Seda*
