Isaiah
I met a little girl today named Isaiah, i've never thought about it as anything but a male name before, but i actually like it more for a female! What do you guys think?

Why not? I don't like Isaiah, but I have no problem with gender blurring in *either* direction, as long as it "works" (which I feel the names ending in -ah do).

Ick.While I can see some very-traditionally-male names on girls, thanks to my sister (who was obsessed with Chester-on-a-girl and Edwyn for a while), Isaiah is not one.Find another, similar name that isn't so overbearingly male. Maybe Iseult? Ianthe? Isla? Idony?Array

Sorry, but its a biblical name, all male, and to me, that means it should stay all male. Just like Jacob and David, its all male and SHOULD NEVER be used on a female.

STOP THE INSANITY!Leave some names for the boys, PLEASE. Sheesh. In a few years, we'll be meeting little girls named David and Andrew, I'm SURE of it. :b(Edited for excessive exclamation marks)

You sound like Susan Powter. :DI honestly can't believe what some parents are thinking, and I don't think they're thinking of their child, that's for sure. I can foresee a trend in masculine names for girls as well. Do these people really think their daughter will thank them for naming her an overtly masculine name? If anything, it will only cause confusion (not to mention strange looks) for the rest of her life. She'll always have to say "actually, I'm a girl" in every thinkable situation.

I don't care for the name, but I prefer it for a boy. It isn't feminine, but I do find it lacking masculinity and strength - but not so much as to prefer it for a girl.
