I really like the spelling Louie :-)

Dont like Daniel, personally i find it too plain and boring. Hugo is sweet, but if he looks like neither then pointless. I have to agree with everybody else and say that i would go with Louis instead of lui, lrt us know what you decide. my freind had the same trouble with her 2 girls and it turns out with both of them their names came like a bolt from the blue. one has a name that was way down on the list of originaml names and the other was given a name her parents hadn't previously thought of.

Wow, 4 weeks is a lot! Here, you need to register the babies before about 10 days, I think!
Lui is cute, but definitely better as a nn, maybe for Luigi?

People will always spell it wrong. And personally I think Louis, however you spell it, is one of those names that sounds cute on a little boy but doesn't fit on a grown man.
My choice would be to go with Daniel, I'm sure he'll grow into it

I like Daniel and Hugh, but I don't like Hugo, sorry. I don't like Lui either and Louis is alright, but I prefer Lewis.

Well you could call him Louis on his birth certificate and use Lui as a nickname

I can understand what your going through. With my 5th and 6th children we had no idea of names as all our obvious favorites had been used on our other children. it took us 3 weeks for our 5th and 5 weeks for our 6th 2 look through all the books and finally decide on Rylan and McKenna. I like both daniel and Hugo, bt can understand how it just doesnt suit the baby. Louis or Lewis is a lovely name and Lui is great as a nn.

Lui is nice and i agree that Hugh is better than Hugo

I like Lui. However, you should be aware it could be more likely to be interpreted as a short form of Luigi than as an alternate spelling of Louis.

I like Daniel. Lui is like a nickname, and not a formal name to me (and also I want to be British, and say "I need to use the loo."). I would say go with Louis.

Daniel is a good name. I really don't know what he looks like so I can't help.

I'm not fond of Lui. Daniel & Hugo are nice. What about Hugh?

ummm I don't like Lui as a name, why not just use Louis?? or name him after someone like his father or one of his grandparents...???
