Twins Gemma and Jeannie
What do you think of the names Gemma and Jeannie? They are twin girls, about 6 months old, that I met the other day. Eliza

Well, I love Jeannie since it's my sister's name. And my mom once had a customer who named her baby Gemma, and Mom immediately thought I would like that name (I do, my mother knows me well). But Gemma and Jeannie sound way too similar for me. And Jeannie's too nny for a given name. My sister could've been Jeannie, but my parents sensibly chose Jean as her proper name, so she could have a choice.Miranda

Terrible combo: the names are way too similar for sisters, let alone twin sisters... and Jeannie is bad enough on its own, too cutesy for my taste. Jean is a nice name, and Gemma is adorable, but not as a set.

Gemma is good although the only one I know is totally trashy and promiscuous. Jeannie is great and very cute.

If Jeannie's full name was Jean, I would like it immensely.Array

They are a little two twinsy sounding for me. I like Gemma much more than Jeannie.

Not only do I not like double initials for twins, bu the same sounds for twins. It seems they just spelled Gemma instead of Jemma, so they wouldn't "match." Anyway, I don't care for the name. They're immature sounding to me.
