WDYTO Sorcha?
Sorcha has been one of my favorites for a very long time. It's pronounced SOAR-sha. It means "radiant" in Gaelic.

Thank you everyone for the input...
I did not realize the correct pronounciation. Thank you for correcting me.

I noticed that name too ... I thought it was prn SOAR-kha (sort of aspirated k sound)? Anyway, I like the name, but the uncertainty about pronunciation is a problem for me.

According to the baby names of Ireland site, its either "sor + aka"
or "surk + ha." I missed the prn in the original post, but yeah, I think you're right. I don't believe I've seen it as Soar-sha anywhere.

It's okay but whenever I see it written I think "scorch."
Actually, I think the correct pronunciation is closer to SOR-ha or SOR-ra. I really like this name.
The meaning is nice, but it looks ugly on paper and doesn't sound very well either. Sorry.

I like the meaning and pronunciation, although it makes me think of Portia which I don't really like because it makes me think of pork. Not that I have anything against pork, it just seems an odd thing to name a daughter after.
I'm not sure I like the way it looks spelled though. I would always be mispronouncing it in my head like "soar-chah" or "soar-ca."
