Old Irish Name
What do you think of the name Segnar? (pron. SAYG-nar) I believe it was the name of my great-great-grandfather, who was born in Ireland, so I suppose it's of Irish descent. WDYT?

To clarify:I don't like this name, and don't plan to use it.

I don't care for it. It isn't feminine, and I think it would cause spelling/pronunciation problems. Since it's a family name, I would suggest using it only as the middle name.

Sorry!I read your post too fast - I thought the word "mother" was in there. :)

It's not suppose to be feminine. :-P

I guess it's not bad, and if it has some meaning for you, then better, but it reminds me too much of "senglar", which is "wild boar" in Catalan...EvaEDIT: because bad is not the same as but... =I
