Nicknames for Alexandria
Hi again!
Alexandria is one of my favorite names, but I really dispise the nickname Alex and I know that because of its length, if she doesn't have a nickname already then she will become an Alex. I was thinking about Ally and Andi, do you think these work okay? Also, do you have any other suggestions for nicknames?

Well I really don't think it is 100% determined her name will be shortened, but anyway. I guess Ally is the best.
I love it with the nn Sasha.
I like the name Alexandria. I do not think parents should take nicknaming matters into their own hands. Just because you despise the nickname Alex, doesn't mean she would (and you may like Ally or Andi, and she may not). I think nicknames should be left up to the child, not planned by the parent(s). Parents choose the formal name, so let the child choose his/her nickname(s) (if they would even want one).
Ally's quite common, almost as common as Abby. And it has a million spellings: Ally, Alley, Allie, Ali, Alli, Alleigh, Allee, etc. Ally and Allie are alright by me, but to me the nn is a little dull from overuse.
Andi's not so bad, but I much prefer the Andie spelling. -i endings seem quite dated to me (just think of Lori, Kori, Dori, Sherri, Merri, Perri, etc.).
Other nns:

Al
Alexa
Anda
Andra
Andria
Dria

Sasha / Sacha / Sascha

That's about all I can think of.
