Sorry I never saw this one. I like Ariston. It's nice.-Seda*

I like Ariston best, but neither are my style but they are kind of cute.

I don't care for either name, but I choose Ariston.

I like them both, but Aristo's more immediately appealing to me. Perhaps because it seems a little less formal to me.I also like the feminine form, Arista (which may also mean "ear of corn" in Latin, but I prefer the aristos "the best" derivation).Miranda

I prefer Ariston. It sounds kind of trendy, but not overly so. Aristo just makes me think of the Aristocats.

Hmm, interesting. I just realized that I'd pronounce these with the stress on different syllables. Aristo as uh-RIS-toh, Ariston as AIR-is-tahn. I like Aristo better -- sounds sort of spunky, as opposed to the slightly snooty feel that shantastic identified with Ariston. They both sound somewhat astronomical to me...like they should be the names of moons or planets. You know:*cht* "Captain, we're in orbit around Ariston 5." *cht*
*cht* "Very good, Mr. Paris. Tuvok, prepare to beam down." *cht*Something like that. *grin* And a little scenette for Miranda if she reads this and still appreciates it as much as she used to.~ Cait

You meant Ariston V, Cait. ;-Da

Oh, of course...how could I have been so thoughtless! *grin*

I think that Ariston has a very snooty sound to it, and a meaning of "the best" doesn't help out too much... I like Aristo better, just because I prefer the sound, and the way it looks written down.Shannon
