Shannon and Shanna
WDYT of these names for girls? I love them both and will consider them if we ever have a daughter. I think Shanna seems like a nice modern and feminine twist on Shannon.
Any thoughts on them? Thanks!

I prefer Shannon. I have a baaaaaad association with a Shanna though, so that could prejudice me against that name. I also just happen to think Shannon is prettier.
I love Shannon (on either sex -- it seems more 'normal' on a woman to me because that's my exposure). Shanna is nice - not my style because it seems a bit incomplete next to Shannon; but it is pleasant, not distractingly creative, and, as you say, looks modern. I don't think Shannon really suffers from a lack of femininity at all, even though it's not a specifically femme name.

I love the name Shannon and have done ever since I was little. I have only ever known the name Shannon to be feminine but I prefer this to Shanna which I don't really like. I would considerShannon as a name for my child but never Shanna.
