Nancy
WDTY of this name? I'd like to use it to honor my mom, Nancy Alice. I dont like creative spellings but I am wondering how these look...
Nancie
Nansie
Nansy
I like the first two but the last one reminds me of Pansy. WDYT?
Thanks!

I strongly dislike the name, sorry. It's very dated, but not in an attractive way like, say, Rose. But if it's to honour someone that gives it bonus points... though I'd still stick to using it as a middle name.

I like the name Nancy, though I'd be more inclined to use Ann, Anne, or Anna and just call her Nancy as a pet name. Do you like Anna Lyssa? Lyssa and Alice are connected, as are Anna and Nancy. You could directly honor your mommy.Did I do terribly?

Really like the name Nancy. I only like the spelling Nancy though, sorry.

I don't care for Nancy, but I like Alice. I also don't like those spellings (which are creative to me), so I would say just stick with the spelling Nancy. Since it's honoring family members, it's OK.

I really dislike the name Nancy, but I think it's wonderful to use it after your mother. I prefer the original spelling as well, but I don't think that Nansie looks bad.

I love Nancy! It's dated, sure, but it's also a classic: it's been used since the 18th century! It's one of the few nn names that doesn't sound like a nn, and that I like as a full-fledged independant given name.It sounds spunky, feminine (but not frilly), a bit airy, but also solid at the same time. It's unusual today and would be a very refreshing change from today's more trendy/popular names.Nancy's my favourite spelling, since I believe it's the original. However, Nancie doesn't look bad at all to me.I wouldn't recommend Nansy, since it does look similar to Pansy (itself not a bad name--it means "thought"--if it wasn't a slang for "gay" and/or "sissy"). Nansy might encourage "nancy boy" jokes more so than Nancy alone would imo. For what it's worth, however, I personally don't think of "nancy boy" jokes when I hear Nancy or Nancie.Miranda

I like it Nancy, my moms name is Nancy Ann and my aunt is Nancy Louise. I like creative names, but this one just doesn't look right to me

One of my favorite authors goes by Nancy, however her birth name is actually Nanzi.
