I once had a old patient named Leone(I work as a nurse)who was obviously very wild in her hey days (Tatoos etc) and one day I entered her room and she was packing up her things up and I said "what ya doing Leone" and she turned around and whispered "Hey hows about you and me breaking out of this place!" I'll never forget her because she was so crazy!! Anyway I like the name because of her.

Leona is lovely, but I slightly prefer Leonie (lay-oh-nee)

I think it's a pretty name, but I wouldn't use it. I don't know about "old-fashioned" but for the most part, Leona's that I have met are older.

I don't think it's too bad although I prefer Liora and Leonora.

I don't think any name is "old-fashioned." Sorry, but I don't care for the name, though.
