Message: "Annabeth" - Behind the Name

What do you think of Annabeth? This is a name that's normally not my style but I'm finding it rather sweet and in a way old-fashioned sounding. Or perhaps I'm just liking it because of it's similarities to Annabel.

Do you like it as a name on it's own or do you think it would work well as a nn for Anna Elizabeth (first and middle name)? If I remember correctly, I think that's how Annabeth Gish got her name.

I also happen to like Annamaria a lot but it's a little too frilly for my tastes.

I like both Annamaria and Annabeth. I think Annabeth would be lovely on its own.

Annabeth Gish is...

Anne Elizabeth Gish in real life.

She just converted Anne into Anna, took Beth from Elizabeth and push the two together. Thus creating Annabeth.

I LOVE it btw.

Annabeth is nms though it does seem to have a sweet, old-fashioned feel to it. I think it can work as both a full name on its own and as a nn for Ann/Anne/Anna Elizabeth.

If you like Annamaria how about Annemarie?

I prefer Anna Beth. For some reason, I prefer Anna as the first name, and Beth as the middle name. I also like Annabelle (that spelling only), and I like Anna Elizabeth.

I like it for a nickname. My favorite name w/ Anna is Annalise thought. I love that name!
