Meredith...
I'm wondering what people think of this name. (I know the name is originally masculine, but I only like it for a girl, please take that into consideration). I like the combo Alicia Meredith because it honors two family traditions, an "Al" name and an "M" name. For a girl, do you think it's dated from any particular decade? Is it usable? Thanks :)

Meredith was one of my favorite names for a girl, but it was nixed by dh. I like it as a fn, sorry don't like the name Alicia....love Alyssa, though as a fn or mn.

I love Meredith, and know two very sweet girls by that name. However, I do not like Alicia. What about Meredith Allegra?

I like it alot and I think its really nice although I prefer it as a first name as opposed to a middle.

For some reason every Meredith I've ever met has been pure evil.
I just can't move past that association...
Sorry!
I guess it's not so bad though, and Alicia Meredith is fine :)

Well, putting aside my fantasy of using it for a son and pronouncing it "meh-RED-ith" (the original prn) ...I do like it on a girl, prn MAIR-eh-dith, anyways.. Alicia Meredith's nice. I'm betting Meredith is going to increase in popularity over the next decade, and more than I'd care to see it increase. (This is just a feeling I have, though, and I have no track record of good predictions, except for predicting Madison would be popular someday when I saw Splash in 1984 :-) and that took a long time.) Meredith's very usable... it has never been popular enough to really be dated, but I'd guess late 20s from the popularity chart. - chazda

I love Meredith (its so sweet & sexy at the same time), but I'm not such a big fan of Alicia - what about Meredith Alexandra or Alicia as the mn?

I like Meredith. Alicia isn't my style, but it's not bad. If you like it, I'd say go for it, it sounds really nice together.

I really like Meredith, and I, too, only like it for a girl. I know a Meredith, and she is 28-years-old. I don't care for Alicia, sorry. I don't think any name is "dated." I like Meredith Alice, and that would honor your family traditions.

I like Meredith Alice too, unfortunately I already have a cousin named Alice and DH and I have a bad association with it from outside the family so I wouldn't use it. Thanks for your input though! :)

For a girl, it's nmsaa. I don't think it's particularly dated though; on the other hand, I think it may become popular shortly, like names like Evelyn have risen recently for girls.Alicia Meredith flows well, with Alicia being pronounced either ah-LEE-shah, ah-LIS-ee-ah, or ah-LEE-see-ah.Miranda
