Re: Mabel

Persephone, Evangeline, and Ophelia are all lovely names, but seem a bit too fanciful for a real baby/person.
Mabel, on the other hand, is sweet but strong, and definitely ready for a comeback. I don't really like Victoria or Florence with Mabel, but Mabel Ivy, Mabel Violet, and Mabel Jean are all lovely- Violet, especially. Some others:
Mabel Rose
Mabel Pearl
Mabel Anne
Mabel Hope (I love this one!)
Mabel Justine
Mabel Louise
Mabel Estelle
Mabel Fiona
Mabel Iris
Mabel Susanna / Mabel Susannah
Mabel Augusta
Mabel is not popular at all where I live, for babies or adults.
As for Lolita, I think that Lola is nice, and both Lola and Lolita are nice enough as nns for Delores (which I don't like, mainly because of the meaning). In America, at least, however, Lolita would provoke a LOT of teasing.
