Don't like it for either. What about Storm Alexander or Stormy Kathleen. :)

Isn't there an actor who used this for his daughter?

I love Story. I love word names. Both names work great imo, but I like it best on a boy. I need to add it to my list along with other new favourites Cresent and Satine.-Seda*

I like it too... no matter if everyone else hates it :)

Story is a word. "Story, it's time for your bedtime story." It just doesn't work. With the craze and invasion of nouns as formal names, I can't wait to see adjective names. OK, maybe that's mean, but Story is not a name. And, it takes away from the wonderful names Kathleen and Alexander.

Piper is a word too, which is a different name, but so is Mark, which is a very common name. Thanks for your opinion though.

I don't mind it for a boy. Probably because I "knew" a Story. I met him, anyway, and we talked for quite a while. He's an astronaut (Story Musgrave).

DittoI also think of the architectural term "storey" (as in, "falling out of a third-storey window", and the like).Miranda

I don't really like it at all. But I'd say for a girl over a boy. Story Kathleen.

Also...I was thinking... when you go to read her/him a story are you going to say "Let me read you a story, Story."

Story? For a name? No. I like some word names, but this isn't one of them. I like some odd names, but this isn't one of them. JMO though.
