I like it, especially if the kid is born around Christmas time. I don't find it dated at all. Only like the spelling Holly.

I'm generally anti "variants" in word names unless they represent actual correct variants in vocabulary (e.g. Briony and Bryony, which are both used in language). But still, Hollie is very charming to me :-)

It's my younger sister's name, and I like it. I'm obviously biased to prefer the spelling Holly, since that's the way she spells it :)

I love the name Holly! It's sweet and very pretty. I don't really think it's dated-I find it refreshing to hear now. I like the original spelling best although the other aren't bad. I went to high school with a Holli and a Hollie.

i prefer holly, my best friend in hs was named holly, it doesnt sound dated to me and definatly not cutesie,to me anyway. if i would think about the name holly i'd prolly describe my friend, nice, farm girl, likes hunting, smart and good worker

Hmm I know three Hollys (one born a few weeks ago - Holly Rose - pretty I think) and also a Hollie. Personally I prefer the Hollie spelling but she gets annoyed with people misspelling it. I don't think it's dated at all

I know one, I graduated high school with her, shes about 20 now. She spelled it Hollie, and I know for a fact it was short for something, but cant remember what.

I prefer the spelling Holly. The only problem I have with the name is associations. I always think of this stuck up girl I cheered with in high school.

One of my favorite singers named her daughter Hollis, which is somewhat cute.

I don't care for it. I used to like it, but then I found it somewhat bland. I know two women named Holly; 42-years-old and 73-years-old. And I prefer the spelling Holly.

I like the Holly spelling better. I don't think it's bad....all of the people that I've known named Holly made for some bad associations except for one, my cousin Holly. If it weren't for her I wouldn't like the name at all.
