I heard somewhere that Afon was properly pronounced AH-von, so unfortunately it reminds me of "Avon" (AY-von), the cosmetics company. If it weren't for that, I'd think it was alright. I think I prefer it on a boy, but it sounds OK on a girl too.

How Is Afon pronounced is it A - fon or A - von or something different

Afon sounds just like "aphone" (with no voice), but would be better on a boy (doesn't sound feminine at all). Rio is nmsaa.

I prefer it on a girl. It's lovely!
