Leah??
WDYT of Leah? I'm still deciding whether it should make my top 10. Also, do you pronounce it Lee-uh or Lay-uh? (i know two people with both these pronunciations) thanks!

Hi, hennig ~
I've known 3 Leahs in my life:1. A girl at years ago at school...pronounced Lee
2. A cousin of mine pronounced...Lee
3. A friend I met just 2 years ago...pronounced LEE-uhI've never known a LAY-uh. I think LEE-uh is a lovely name; I think
it's very sad about the 2 mis-pronounced ones.

I love it. I find it to be a classic because it's a Biblical name, but other spellings cheapen it imo. I say LEE-ah. To me, LAY-ah is Leia from Star Wars fame. But that's not the rule, I'm sure.

LEE-ah! Lay-uh is spelt Leia(h). This is my name. It is a good name. ;P Therefore I like it. :) You could technically pronounce it either Leia or Leah, but I think that Leah should be pronounced Leah. It drives me crazy (to a small degree, beecause it happens so often) when people mispronounce my name. I've also heard it pronounced Lee (ugh). I don't get that. It even has an h on hte end for easy pronunciation! .... sorry. Kind of turned into a rant. :) What are your other "top ten" names?

I really like Leah. It hasn't made my top 10 yet, perhaps because it's so simply pretty and I like a bit more kick =) Great name though! I pronounce it Lee-uh and I'd say Leia as Lay-uh. I like both!

Leah (prn LEE-a) is ok - it didn't quite make it into my favourites list, but I don't mind it. I *love* Leia (LAY-a) but I think it's too "Star Wars" to get away with it.

I know one Leah (and I don't like her so I'd never use it) and she pronounces it Lee-ah. I think it's a pretty name, I don't like the history either but it's a popular name in a lot of places.
