[Opinions] WDYT of Susannah?
What do you imagine when you hear the name Susannah? What about the spelling Susanna--does the spelling make a difference to you? If you met someone named Susannah, would you assume she went by Susie? (nicknames are not my style in general; Susie is nmsaa)

I wouldn't call a Susannah Susie unless asked to (nicknames are nmsaa either).
I think Susanna looks a bit unfinished.
I like the forms Shoshannah, Suzanne et Susan.:)

I love, love Susanna (and yes, the -h does matter!). One of the nice classy names I like, and I think it would make a genuine sibset with Thomas.Susannah is all right as well, but I prefer Susanna. And as for the nn, I can't really imagine Susie above toddler age. Sue is an option, but I like Sanna the best.

Oddly enough, I quite like it....

I think it's gorgeous. But for some reason, I only like it spelled Susannah. Any other way looks incomplete (without the "h"), or wrong (without 1 "n" or with a "z"). I also don't like nn's Susie or Sue for it at all. I prefer Anna.

I love the name Susanna. I only like it spelled without the 'h.' I would not automatically call her Susie. Susanne is nice as well.

I adore the name Susannah, right now it's my number one name. I imagine a blonde girl, southern and sophisticated. I dislike it spelled Susanna.. Susannah is the traditional spelling.. A lot of people think that's its an elaboration of Susan, but really Susan is just the short form of Susannah (or so I read) I wouldn't assume a Susannah went by Susie. My sister is named Susannah and goes by Susannah. I adore the nns Annie and Anna though.

I love the name Susannah spelled this way. If I met someone named Susannah I wouldn't automatically assume they went by Susie but I do like Susie as a nn or Susan.

I know a woman with that name, but she spells it Susanna. She doesn't go by Susie. Every calls her by her full name and it doesn't seem to be a problem. I do prefer the shorter spelling over the longer Susannah (which seems unnecessarily fussy).I have to admit, though, it does make me think of the song... Oh, Susannah,
Oh don't you cry for me, I come from Alabama with my banjo on my knee...

I don't mind Susannah, I think it's very graceful. Susanna isn't so nice, it looks more Italian or Spanish than English to me, and looks like it's missing its 'h'! :-)I don't like Susie much myself, or Sue - I'd probably assume Susannah unless told otherwise.I quite like the Dutch and Scandinavian nicknames, Sanna / Sanne :-)

When I hear Susannah I think of the song Oh Susannah. I slightly prefer the spelling Susannah to Susanna but it really doesn't make a difference to me. And I wouldn't assume Susie.
