[Facts] My name and meaning of Sty
My name-Sty-means cool and awesome!

Isnt a Sty an eyesore of some kind?
Actually, "Sty" looks to me like an abbreviation of "Stygian", which means: "of or pertaining to the river Styx or to Hades; dark, gloomy; infernal, hellish."
Which, by my reckoning, makes "Sty" (pronounced "stih") a "cool and awesome" name indeed. :)
BTW, your e-mail is being cranky again, Che. Check your alternate addy. I sent you those name aliases you wanted.

Actually, the dictionary definitions are: 1) a pen for swine; 2) a filthy, low, or vicious place.
Somehow I can't see Mr. McGoldrick's parents intending to name him that. Possibly they intended "Stylites", as in St. Simeon from your neighborhood (okay, Syria), who was a pillar of his community for 20-odd years.
Also, sorry to see the Drachma biting the dust after 2,600 years in favour of the Euro. It's only a matter of months now before they change the name of "Hellas" to "Southeast Belgium". Bloody shame, that.

I thought the Stylites were an afroamerican girls' group managed by Phil Spector in the 60's.
"Sorry to see the Drachma biting the dust after 2,600 years in favour of the Euro"...
Yep, it is indeed a crying shame. The fact that "Euro" is a Greek word is of no consolation :(
The good old Drachma's demise will unlamented by all but a few. Tragically most Greeks
are more concerned about the miserable fat belgian bureaucrats' attempt to outlaw
"kokoretsi" a delicacy made of skewered intestines and internal organs...
The adoption of a single currency in the "European Union" is the largest voluntary secession
of national sovereignty ever. I have little faith in its success or viability.

You're obviously thinking of Sty and the Family Swine. They might've been a girls' group, but we'll never know, because they were chronic no-shows for concerts.
Uh, Sty -- how do I even begin to break this to yuh...?
