You think: eh. Just a generic name.

You say: Isaac is such a nice name.
You think: But I don't care for Alyosha. Wonder if that's a family name.

You hear: This is my daughter, Mary Miranda nn Mira.
You say: That's so cute. You don't hear Mary on little girls often anymore.
YOu think: Mira is cute too but I'd like it a lot better if she was called Mary.

You hear: This is my daughter, Mary Renee, called Renee.
You say: What an interesting combination.
You think: Yuck. Mary is a nice name, Renee is nmsaa. And I hate "Mary ____" names where they call the person by the second name. It's so outdated. I didn't know people still did that.

You say: Haven is such an interesting name.
You think: For the love of god I hope it's spelled Haven and she's not named after the place she was conceived.
