I am sooo excited my son and daughter-in law are expecting their 1st baby!! My son saids he wants to name a girl Josephine and a boy Sirius. I love the name Josephine but the name Sirius sounds too serious to me. My daughter-in-law has no opinion as of yet, she was only smiling!! Anyway I've decided to stay out of it unless they ask for help. I LOVE names so I will have trouble keeping quiet !! I do love nn Josie for Josephine though!! WDYT or Josephine and Sirius??

I love Josephine.. I would definitely use it but my mom and hubby hate it :s And Sirius is my neighbours dogs name...

I adore Josie as a nn for Josephine. Very cute! And Sirius, while not horrible, does remind me a lot of serious.

Sirius is a little too greek mythology and now Harry Potter - too ponderous or to pop-culture either way you look at it. I would definitely stay away from that one.

As for Josephine, I agree, it's a great name. And I also love the nn Josie.

I don't really like Josephine. Josie is cute though, and I like other possible nn, like Jo or Joey.

Sirius is not my style at all. Maybe as a middle name?
