[Opinions] Re: Gabriel
I would probably like Gabriel a lot more if it weren't so popular right now. Gabriel, along with other familiar names closely associated with the Bible that haven't been historically used to the same extent as classics like John and Joseph and Benjamin -- like Caleb, Noah, Isaac, Elijah and Isaiah -- are all the rage currently. (The preceding sentence was probably confusing, but I'm too lazy to attempt to reword it for clarification.)Gabriel has a nice sound, but it seems a little long for daily use and I really dislike the nickname Gabe. It just has an ugly, grating sound, and it reminds me of "gobble," like a turkey or something. Heh, but maybe that's just me.The first combo that springs to mind is Gabriel Benjamin, but it really all depends on what works with your last name. I think a classic name would work best; Gabriel Jackson or Gabriel Jayden would sound very trendy and would date the name.

Trendy doesn't work with a classic Biblical name like Gabriel. It messes it up, imo.
Jackson sounds too surname-y anyway.-Seda*
