I adore it for a girl I have for years! I'd use it

I like month names for the most part, and I wouldn't mind seeing someone named October, since it's one of my favorite months. I might go with Octavian or Octavia though.

The only month names I'm okay with are June, August, & May (but spelled Mae). They are already well established names and come from names (Juno, Augustus, and Maia). Maybe if it were your eighth child (as octo means eight), I'd accept it as a fine name, like Octavian.

Despite the month connection, I don't like the sound either. Neither the "oct" nor the "ber" sounds thrill me.

I love the name Octavia, but not so much October.

I don't really like using months/days of the week as names.
