in reply to a message by Casey
We adopted Gyongyi when she was several months old, and she remembers nothing of her origional home in Hungary. Instead all her memories and life exists in America with us!
Gyi-Gyi has short curly blonde hair that bonces as she walks! She has light brown eyes and pale skin. She is so small but she is growing so fast! Gyongyi is a little beauty and she loves wearing dresses and skirts. Expecially her red dress with floral designs on it and a matching red bow she loves to have me tie into a half pony tail.
Gyongyi is a smart 2-year-old with a large vocabulary and learning right there with her older siblings. Gyi-Gyi loves to sit down when my husband and I are helping Lalita and Akhil with their homework. She also loves to have us read to her so she can follow along with her finger and she is starting to read them on her own with very little help. She loves to jabber off the Alphabet and numbers while she is marching through our home and she enjoys adding her numbers on her hand and even mulipling with the hand, she does all this on her own and my husband and I stare at her in amazement! We put her in a special before-start-program where she astonishes her teachers there as well.
After long months of Potty Training Rituals Gyi-Gyi has finally learned to use the potty on her very own! And she only uses pull ups at night that she doesn't even soil anymore! She also love to take bubble bathes and dress herself, usally she'll end up with on article of clothing missing or her shirts and pants on backwards!
Gyi-Gyi also goes to a play group three times a week. There she has meet a few friends she loves to play with. Judy, Piper, Faith, Hannah, and Basil all get together so much and play with dolls, color, and play house. These girls will stick together till the end, or so we (all the parents) say!
As well as playing with dolls, coloring, and playing house, Gyongyi loves to play on the tramp, in our pool, in our play house, and on our playset. She also enjoys the park and beach. Inside she can't stop following her sister, brother, my husband, or me around. She blends in well though and we hardly realize we are being stalked! She is often on the couch watching movies and tv with her sister. Then both adore the same shows which makes tv time and picking out what to watch so much easier!
Gyongyi is also dance class and gymnastics/tumbling. And when she turns 5 she has come to the conclusion that she too is going to be in karate and in Girl Scouts like her older sister.
Gyi-Gyi's room theme is care bears. Her wall paper is a care bear design as well as her comforter/sheet set. And her carpet is a light green that matches with the colors in her room. Her drawings are posted on a buliten board in her room next to her white board that daily has new pictures on it!
Gyongyi has servere allergies to many foods, smells, and many other things. Including to many are bananas, chocolate, peanuts, smoke, grass, dog hair (so we have 3 cats) and corn starch. So we have learned to not have many of those things that contain things that she can not have. And what we do have we keep away from her reach. Gyi-Gyi also take shoots daily in the morning because of her allergies. Gyi-Gyi's favorite foods are rice, carrots, tocos, stir fry, and raspberries.
Gyongyi is a wonderful part of our family and we adore her so much! She is the life of the house at so many times and is always up when we are down! We love her, as she loves us.
