Congratulations!
Dear Kane Family, We have found some children who we think will fit in wonderfully with your family. Their names are Carlos Elian, Isabel Luz, Hailey Marina, Nicholas Ian, Zoraida Ariana "Aida", and Calixta Emiliana. Carlos and Isabel are from Venezuela. They never knew their mother, but their father was recently tried and sentenced to jail for his part in a large drug smuggling ring. They don't know of any family members. Hailey and Nicholas are twins from the United States. Their mother did not want them, and the father is not known. Aida's father (her closest and only living relative) passed away last month in a drive-by shooting. Calixta was orphaned at the age of three, and is very close to finally finding a home.Carlos is ten years old. He is very smart, and likes to play with cars. Carlos speaks mostly Spanish, but does know some English and communicates pretty well with signs when he can't figure out the words. Carlos is a gifted musician, and he plays the harp, lute, and violin exceptionally well. Isabel is six years old. She relies on Carlos to interpret for her because she knows no English. Isabel seems to be quite intelligent. She likes to play soccer and is fascinated by airplanes and helicopters. Hailey and Nicholas are just four days old. They still look very identical, but Nicholas' eyes are a much darker shade than his sister's hazel ones. They sleep well for infants, and don't eat too much. Their mother hoped that they would be raised in a stable, loving environment. Aida is fifteen years old. She likes field hockey, writing, and flirting with boys. Aida speaks English fluently, though has begun reverting to Spanish since the death of her father. We are confident that Aida will eventually begin to speak English again once she settles in to her new home. Aida brings with her a dog, Pogo. Pogo is an eight year old Spanish Mastiff. He is well behaved and fully house trained. Pogo is the only connection Aida has left to her family.Calixta is fourteen years old. She enjoys anything that has to do with science. She wants to be a wildlife researcher someday, and works hard in school to achieve her dreams. Calixta speaks mainly English, but has a heavy Spanish accent. Calixta gets along well with other kids and should have no problems in your home. We hope that you enjoy your new children. Please tell us how they are doing!
