I like
Antoinette. A cousin of mine is
Adelaide Antoinette (nn
Addie). I always liked Mr. Rochester's first wife's name,
Bertha Antoinetta. For the mn, you want to avoid anything too fou-fou because of the Marie-Antoinette* image. How about:
Antoinette Alice (I like the alliteration)
Antoinette VerityAntoinette LilyAntoinette SophieAntoinette LydiaAntoinette Lucy /
LucieAntoinette RosalindAntoinette BlytheAntoinette ChristineAntoinette InesAntoinette PascaleAntoinette ThaisAntoinette PearlAntoinette WillaAntoinette PhoebeAntoinette Diane
OK, so maybe some of these are more fou-fou than not. I'm finding this a difficult task. I love KMF's suggestion of
Antoinette Sylvia, by the way.
Antoinette Sylvie would also be nice.
*I've read Ms. Frasier's biography of Marie-Antoinette and believe she's more of a scape-goat than a villan. But I'm afraid most people still have the negative association with the name. I still think you should use it, just be careful.
