Help[Opinions] Frances
WDYT of Frances on a girl? as a MN? I prefer just France. Which I've seen once on a BA's as a FN.
Frances has been growing on me since yesterday. The problem is I plan on someday having a dog named Francis (also a female, I just prefer that way for the dog).
any FN suggestions for Frances or France?
Also WDYT of these for girls:
Pippin nn Pippi for a girl? I don't think I'd use it but I love the name Pippi, like Pippi Longstocking. I know her full name is Pippilotta in a way it's cute but i'm unsure. I don't like the way it looks.
Patient - Patience is getting popular, I thought Patient would be a nice alrernative.

I like Frances on a girl, but I prefer Francesca or Francine. Francis is my favorite boys' name.
Pippin probably reminds most people of Tolkein, although personally I always think of the musical. Either way, I can't see it as a girl's name. How about Penelope with the nickname Pippi?
Patient would spend her whole life introducing herself as "Patient... no, not Patience..."
Molly is nice, but I like it better as a nickname for Mary, although that seems to have gone out of style.
I like Morrigan, but I'm not sure about Morriganne. Is it supposed to be pronounced MOR-i-gan or mor-i-GAN? The "-anne" ending makes me want to put the emphasis on the last syllable.

Ooh, I love Frances for a girl! And I think it deserves the fn spot as well - seems fun and different as fn, but just a bit old as a mn to me; not sure why exactly. One of my favorite Frances combos is Frances Ruby. :) But I also like it in the mn spot: Eleanor Frances and Ingrid Frances are some of my faves.

I like Frances but would probably not use it as I like Francis (boy only) more and it wouldn't be right to use both Frances and Francis.
Pippin - boy only and reminds me of a dog that's in a childrens' programme.
Patient - no, just no. Not when it's in such common use. It makes little sense (Patient is a patient, Patient, will you be patient? etc) and would be open to teasing.
Molly - love it.

I don't like this name because I don't like names that can be used for either gender.(even on a pet!) This is my maternal grandmother's name though.
