I can't get over the sweet old Scottish butler, but I don't know if this programme ever made it across the Atlantic. If not, it's okay...but just another surname ending in 'son', y'know?

I actually like it but it reminds em of Hamish people for some reason hehe

Far too surnamey for me and I remember the butler in Upstairs downstairs.
I have known one boy with this name he would be about ten years old now.
I think it would definately be better as a middle name

It makes me think of a character in a classic British drama series called Upstairs, Downstairs called Hudson ("You rang, sir?"). I liked that show, but I don't like Hudson as a first name.

I just think of Sirname and it sounds dorky to me.
