The Katsaros family lives in their 3 story Ottawa home. The father, Hunter, is a fifth grade teacher. He has white blond ringlets and violet eyes, and he wears contacts. Hunter likes reading and writing. He is very sensitive to the needs of others, but tends to be unorganized. The mother, Violet, is a pediatrician. She has wavy bright red hair and hazel eyes. She loves to cook meals for others. She likes having fun, but also tends toward disorganization. Violet and Hunter have six children, 4 boys and 2 girls. Their children are a very (very) unique blend of hair textures, colors, and facial features. Their oldest son, Ghayth, is in eleventh grade. He has black ringlets and bright blue eyes. Ghayth loves sports and plays something all year round. Ghayth is sensitive and a good listener, but he tends to be mischevious and meddles in the affairs of others far too often. The oldest daughter, Kali, is in tenth grade. She has very straight red hair and hazel eyes. Kali too lives for sports, and her favorite is soccer. She is very kind and always looks to help out those in need; however, like her parents, she is unorganized. The younger daughter, Lily, is in seventh grade. She has straight very dark brown hair and brown eyes. Lily also loves sports, though she does unconventional ones like gymnastics, horseback riding, and rock climbing. She loves having fun, and that love sometimes leads her to be inattentive during more serious times like school. The twins are Jay and Jit (pron. Jeet). They are in sixth grade, and identical. They have dark blond ringlets and grey eyes. Jay likes to read and write science fiction, while Jit would rather hang out with his friends. Jay is very sensible and level-headed, though for some odd reason he likes playing practical jokes. Jit is very kind and often lets people in on the pranks Jay is about to pull on them. Jit is a daredevil and recently built his own skateboard ramp and tried to use it. It promptly fell down and sent the family scurrying to the emergency room. Adam is the youngest in the family. He has curly red-orange hair and green eyes. He is very artistic, and especially loves music. He has a good ear and likes to help people solve his problems. However, Adam has a daredevil streak like his older brother. The menagerie of pets in teh Katsaros household is really too long to list, but is made up of Pepi, Koga, Elara, Aerio, Kaizu, Pallas, Smaug, Mercury, Imari, Uno, Layla, Sakata, Titan, and Scylla.
