Nile Kinnick was a great college football player in the 1930s. He won the 1939 Heisman Trophy then became a Navy pilot and died on a training mission.

Makes me think of the river in Egypt, so it's place name-y and therefore a bit trendy (if not at all popular). I much prefer Niall.

Nile is a very handsome name. I never heard of Mr. Kinnick before, but he sounds like a great role model for a child.
I had a cousin named Niall, pronounced the same way. So I'm predisposed to like the name. :-)
