Congrats on your twin sons! They both have brown eyes and black hair. At birth they weighed roughly 7 lb 7 oz and were 18.2 inches long.
Ariella is thrilled to announce she is a big sister, to not one baby brother, but two! That's right...John and I were happy to welcome twin boys into the world on October 2nd. Travis Michael was born at 3:45 PM, weighing 7 pounds, 4 ounces; 20 inches long. He was joined by his brother, Trevor Mason, at 4:08 PM, weighing 7 pounds, 6 ounces; 20 1/4 inches long. Both boys have black hair and brown eyes, though we're not entirely sure of where their black hair came from, since neither John or I have black hair :-) As for their names...John wanted initials that match, and though I'm not typically keen on the idea, I decided to go for it, as long as they were names that I liked. I've always liked the name Trevor, and he suggested Travis. We thought Michael and Mason just went nicely with them.
Needless to say though, both Trav and Trev are a welcome addition to our family, and Ariella is so excited to be a big sister. She was a little disappointed in the beginning, since both babies were boys, but she quickly became accustomed to the idea and has taken wonderfully to them. Ariella is now two years old and is still the sweet little girl she's always been. She loves to play with her baby dolls and her Care Bears (her newly found favorite toys). She can sit for hours and watch Care Bear movie after Care Bear movie, but we don't mind. She's an easy-going little girl who loves to give hugs and kisses, especially to the babies.
And our house is soon going to have two more people living in it. No...we're not expecting another baby! John's parents have decided to move closer to us, and while they're looking for the perfect home, they're going to be staying with us. The arrangement is wonderful. Ariella loves being with Grandma and Grandpa, and they'll be a big help with the twins, so we're glad to have them nearby.
And we must not forget to mention our newest little puppy, whom we rescued from the animal shelter. She's a sweet little beagle mix, whom we decided to name Esperanza, which means "hope" in Spanish. Ariella is in love with the puppy, and thankfully, Henry, our other dog has taken well to having her around.
And there you have our family...John and I couldn't be happier with the way things are going. Life is absolutely perfect for us! :-)
